I’ve noticed an uptick in people getting booted from this platform. Here and then, gone.I’m talking big creators. No one is exempt. Here are some tips to help prevent this from happening to you.1. Limit automation tools (3rd party stuff)2. Don’t send 100’s of the same DM.3. Don’t be brash or use profanity.4. Chill out on the combative comments.5. Use the little blue li-nk things sparingly. 6. Don’t try to game the system. 7. Stop letting others log into your account. Hopefully these help, there are a lot more but this is a start! You worked hard to build your community here, don’t let it vanish overnight because of a few shortcuts.✌️

oh 1 more, using chatgpt to comment. linkedin doesn't actually care but your community does and the more you get blocked, silenced or reported the more flags you get!

I also think this is actually what makes you special. You doing you. Seems like lots of folks are looking for the shortcut(s), I believe in my heart it will hurt them in two ways, authenticity and vulnerability. Authentic posts that you can actually tell another human wrote it is important to me as a "consumer" of content" Second, in a world where everyone tries to follow a playbook (which is SO dumb), post daily, grow following, have same people comment especially with big following, release newsletter, build community on x, y, z, channel, sell something as a solo (product, service, coaching)....its become saturated with the same messaging. Rip up the playbook and stand out alone doing it your way. My two cents and thanks for sharing. I can't wait to see who does LI "differently", next. The same acts are SO boring after 6, 12, 18 months on my feed. Why I live for Nate Randle on here. Between his personal brand and Gabb...doing it their way. I admire that. I also feel that way about you, Darren. Have an amazing rest of your week.

What's the reasoning why someone would log into another's account?I also uninstalled my automation tools. I got nervous using them and liked being present with my posts anyways. Not having to rely on something else.

Imagine waking up one day and your whole LI network being gone 😩 That’d be AWFUL! I don’t do any of those things listed, but I do push the envelope with talk of liberty and ‘taboo’ topics sometimes.

Using LI as a mass, outbound spambot, cold call. They think it's still 1993.

Reddit find... fully lives up to the lofty promise of the title. A few favorites:"12. Success comes quickly to those whom develop great powers of intense sustained concentration. Progress is a continued effort to swim against the stream.24. Enthusiasm covers many deficiencies - and will make others want to associate with you.31. If there is not a conscious struggle to be honest in difficult situations, you are probably being dishonest. Apologies to those of you who RSVPed to our LinkedIn Live event only to have technical issues that prevented us from livestreaming! I'm sharing the recording of the video (with the bits edited out where I am swearing and playing around with every single setting I can find to get the live stream to actually work 😆). In this recording, I cover what a successful community launch really looks like, including the *5 expectations* you should have going into any launch. Are there any expectations that I missed? What other advice would you give someone launching a community for the first time?

How do you build a community around a product? You do it by not trying to build a community.Wait, what?Instead, build a product that solves a real problem for a specific group of people. Be obsessed with making that product the best it can be for that specific group. Then, magic happens.Your early users become evangelists. They'll start talking about your product to other people who share the same problem. They become your community. You don't build a community. You attract a community by building a great product for a specific group. So, focus on your product and your early users. They'll take care of the rest.

Did you know?💡Socialcap is designed to be community-driven, allowing each community to set its own claim types, credential prices, validation rules and badges. In this way, the protocol is flexible and can be customized to fit a wide range of use cases.

Quick update for Lat Long Labs I recently submitted a YC application and shared the video on YouTube, not expecting much. Surprisingly, the application video caught more attention than anticipated - kuddos to YouTube search finding the video. LinkedIn has been an amazingly supporting community through launching LLL, so here's one more insight into everything I'm trying.I'm going for the next big milestone—wrapping passion with business. 🚀🤞Original: https://lnkd.in/dRkA9Shf

Things I've learned about building a happy community:(a) First, treat all digital avatars like real humans (because they usually are!). I always tell server owners to design their community more intentionally and put a call to action. Still, at the end of the day, people come to an online community to connect. If you see someone new, don't push; listen, ask where they are from, and see what they like. You will have a better time, learn a lot from someone completely different from you, and have fun yourself. (b) While people stay for value, they come for fun. It doesn't matter what your community is about (ours is about debugging our bot); make it fun while doing it. Gamify your community, create friendly competition, and reward users here and there (not with money, but something of value and pride). (c) An act of kindness goes a long way. Some friendships we've witnessed are formed because of random acts of kindness. One member gives another member something small (a role, a special mudae card, a nitro, or an apple in the animal crossing server) and that's all it takes for both of them to be friends!

Reddit was a site that I used to love. It was like the ultimate forum site. You met strangers. Had wild discussions. Found content that blew your mind and made you see the world in a thousand different ways. People who meet me often say how well educated I am. I'm not really. I just spent many years voraciously digesting content from r/documentaries on everything - finding great creators like Summoning Salt, Cold Fusion and Historia Civilis. People added to Reddit because they loved it. Because it embraced what the internet should be. And it served the interest of what's best about humanity and people. Now today, all that good feeling has been poured down the drain. And I can't be the only one fed up with pictures like this. Reddit has sold the rights to use all of 'it's' content to Google for $60m. The value was never in the platform. The value was never in the tech. The value was never in the administration. The community was the value. This isn't evolution. It's robbery. https://lnkd.in/eZwEFJav

My mistake with community building1 of my first web3 projects, I thought MORE is better. We opened discord and let 10,000 people flood in overnight. MORE, FASTER. But the conversations in the chat become spam. People were in for the money and all they're doing is spamming the chat with nonsense. Trying to steer the community after that is HARD. Until now, I couldn't fix it. It turns away true fans. For Dune 404, we're taking a more methodical approach. Slowly bringing in people and making sure the first 100 people are true fans. Not sure if it works yet, it's all theoretical. Fun side effect. By limiting access, people FOMO and actually want to join it even more!P.S. If you're a true 404 fan. I'll let you in if you leave a comment.
